Counseling and Appointments

Career Services offers a variety of services and resources to support undergraduates, graduate students and alumni in assessing their values and interests. To make an appointment for any of the following, call 401-863-3326.

WALK-IN HOURS
Held in the Career Development Center Library of Pembroke Hall, Walk-In Hours enable students to informally meet with a Career Counselor or Peer Career Counselor (PCC) for a resume or cover letter critique or any other quick questions.

RESUME/COVER LETTER CRITIQUES

Working with you, a counselor will offer advice for improving your resume or cover letter. Don't wait until you are up against a tight deadline to call for an appointment - get your resume together and get it critiqued now!

GENERAL COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS
Half-hour counseling sessions are available to discuss career goals, job search strategies, graduate school, interviewing, self-assessment, or whatever is on your mind.

GRADUATE COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS
Meet with our graduate student counselor to discuss your academic job search, non-academic job search, resume or CV critique, or any other issues you are thinking about.

PRACTICE INTERVIEWS
Perfect your interview skills in this safe situation in which a counselor plays the role of the employer. The counselor will prepare questions that you might get in a real situation so you can practice giving your answers. After the session, you and the counselor can review the experience.
